The other project I want to get started on asap is Nogales/Nogales but I have to learn Spanish before I go. My Spanish is terrible despite my efforts to get a bare minimum.
It's time sensitive too, so I should probably get cracking on how I can begin.

ummm or you could hire a translator. i know one who will work for cheap (free)
Get ready for "Conversational Spanish" with me, Dominguez.
Should we really be calling this an "oil spill"?
We stabbed Mother Earth, and now she's bleeding!
I know, "Oil Spill" is such bullshit... that's what happens at a gas station. I think I'm going to go with "BP Environmental DIsaster."
In connection with the Nogales/Nogales project - I once recommended a book of essays to you before after you posted "I love El Paso,TX". The book is called "The Underground Heart: A Return to Hidden Landscape" by Ray Gonzalez.I'm not sure why I feel so compelled to reccomend this book to you every time you mention border issues or the southwestern U.S. I mean, the book is about that, but I don't know how influenced your work is by what you read, or if you just go to a place and just start working. Anyway, trying to find my copy in the mess that is my house. If you ever want to read it, let me know and I can drop it by your studio.
I'm going to order it right now. It's on my list but I haven't read it, so I'm taking this second recommendation as a mandate.
