"When I hear the word culture..., I release the safety on my Browning!" from Schlageter by Hanns Johst.
This quote is often rephrased as "when I hear the word culture, I reach for my gun" and has been misattributed to Hermann Göring, Heinrich Himmler and Joseph Goebbels.
"(Opponents of the Vietnam War are) an effete corps of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as 'intellectuals.'"
And, shockingly, Karl Rove brought back the "effete snobs" description.
"Many times the people I see criticizing (George W. Bush) are, you know, sort of elite, effete snobs who can't hold a candle to this guy. What they don't like about him is that he is common sense, that he is Middle America."
