I genuinely don't understand it. Hello? I will be happy to hear what he says when he's on trial for his war crimes. Until then I can't see why it's "news" when he talks, unless he's shot another person in the face.

Because Fascism never goes out of fashion.
Because the Ku Klux Klan still kicks.
Because the Christian and Jewish Religious Right believe we are nearing End Times and consequently has no particular interest in peace in the Middle East.
Because these same Religious extremists have a great deal of money to spend on disinformation and propaganda.
Because the American public was intentionally denied the information that over 300 Palestinian children and over three times that number or adults were killed in the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip.
Because the rich just can't get rich enough.
Because the Republicans are so out of touch and so devoid of talent that they have no one else to represent them other than Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh. We miss William F. Buckley and Barry Goldwater as adversaries. At least they actually believed what came out of their mouths, even if we did'nt.
Because the Republicans, awash in megalomania and delusion, cannot quite grasp their irrelevancy and near extinction.
Because the media would like us to believe that we are a nation of goddamn idiots. Unfortunately for them and fortunately for the nation, we are considerably more literate than they would like us to believe.
