Slide Show Recap
This year's slideshow extravaganza was a success on every count. There were several SIGNIFICANT improvements from last year, with number one on my list being my new IT guy, David Kessler.
David transferred all of the photos to Final cut pro and I went over pretty much every photo timing them to the .5 second. Right. At this point I can now learn Final Cut, which I refused to do before the slide shows because I knew that both ordering and timing the photos in a new format would cause me to have a TMI size meltdown. Long story short, the Final Cut meant that David just sat at the computer and played the seamless slideshow and I, still the insane control freak, was able to "relax" and know that the timings were right. Plus, the final cut pro played BEAUTIFULLY and playing from David's new super fancy computer you could see the very little bit of the support of the star that I love in this photo. It's impossible to see that detail unless it's a print, so I was VERY PLEASED. Hot to death.
This is why David Kessler is now moving into the front bedroom in my studio. I know the term "indentured servitude" has been out of fashion for some time, so I'll just leave it at that.
Next on the list, my lady and Tina KILLED it with the snacks. Thanks.
Everyone who attended was allowed to take a photo off of the wall...let me know what you got, friends.
Everyone who RSVPed received this signed door prize...

As this is the 3rd year, I've noticed that about 60% of the people who RSVP actually come, so I've begun to overbook. I'm not sure what the best thing to do is with that, but I think next year I will be switching some things around. I want to make a door prize for everyone who attends and that's just too hard without having an idea of how many people are coming, so I think I might devise a first 50 attendees receive a prize...we'll see.
If you attended, drop me a line and let me know what you thought.

my email is about 90% back after the domain name debacle. I have had significant problems with my email for this whole last year, due to the original code that my website was written in and other factors that just kept coming up, and that forged domain name was just the fucking nail in the coffin. Now that this slideshow mania is over, I will try to get this shit fixed by the new year. And I'm talking the Jan new year, not the Sept new year.
